Re: Issue installing OO (sh <(curl -s https://install.openshift.com/)

Hi Gordan,

I'm reprehensible for this :-) It should be fixed now as I replaced the LC_CTYPE hack with regular Ruby string encoding. This issues basically exists because of Fedora 19 codename contains UTF-8 character but the script in some cases is run on systems with LC_CTYPE set to 'C', which cause Ruby to fail parse the UTF-8 char....

Anyway, this should be now fixed in latest oo-install (I hope ;-)

Hi all,

I tried to install broker/node using sh <(curl -s https://install.openshift.com/ on Redhat 6.4 (64b) and Fedora 19 (64b). I can't go through the install, on both OS: /tmp/oo-install-20131121-1914/lib/installer/host_instance.rb:256:in ``': No such file or directory - LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 cat /etc/redhat-release (Errno::ENOENT) -> Redhat /tmp/oo-install-20131121-1914/lib/installer/host_instance.rb:303:in `encode': "\xC3" from ASCII-8BIT to UTF-8 (Encoding::UndefinedConversionError) -> Fedora

I tried to modify locales but I get the same error.

Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?

Thank you,
