There are a couple options.  If you aren't using scaled apps you could use different gear sizes to separate nodes.  And pass the gear size of your default node whenever you want it.  That would mean as the app scaled up it would end up only on that one node.  Which you wouldn't want for a scaled app.

The other option takes a little more work but would solve your problem.  You can write a placement plugin:
