Re: Openshift volumes

Also, we have examples of Templates showing the creation of both claims and pods without a 2 step process.  With dynamic provisioning in 3.2, you won't need to worry about the PV part.

We are currently working on a feature that will provision a new Cinder volume on demand in response to a new PersistentVolumeClaim being created.  You will be able to use a volume selector on your claim that matches with a provisioner configured by the admin.

Look for this new functionality in our 3.2 release.  Until then, the manual steps you listed are required, though they can be scripted.

Hi ,

I have installed OpenShift on OpenStack. It is configured to use volumes Cinder.

To associate a volume to a pod, I'm following this steps:

- Create manually volume Cinder
- Create manually pv OpenShift
- Create pvc associated with a pod

Is it possible to automate this? I want that Openshift automatically create a new cinder volume and associated automatically when a pod is created.
